MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell did.

He partnered with UNICEF

to raise funds for student desks.

The desks made in local shops provide

jobs and income for families in the community.

However, girls rarely get a chance after elementary

to attend secondary school.

Why? Because of the tuition.

Education is not free, as in the U.S.

Half of the people live on $2 a day.

Boys are educated before girls.
