"MYTHOLOGY: From Archetype-Casting to the Epic Tale," a unit from the GET INTO THE ACT! series, combines creative writing and performing. The unit introduces students to the literary lens of Archetypes (i.e., The Heroine, The Trickster) and to the elements of an Epic Tale. With this background students form groups to invent an original mythic story, serious or humorous, to be performed for the class.

Imagine. Write. Perform. After all, "All the world's a stage!"

Consistent with any KALEIDOSCOPE OF LEARNING curriculum, the unit features detailed lesson plans, resource lists, samples, and printables.

The ten-day unit plan assumes 50-minutes class periods.
