Global Climate Conference in Glasgow Week 2

Xie Zhenhua, the climate change envoy for China,

and John Kerry, global climate envoy for America,

after a series of 30 meetings since April,

finalize their discussions with an agreement in Glasgow.

Cut carbon emissions and especially emissions from methane,

which is considerably more toxic to the planet.

As the world’s largest polluters,

the United States and China bear the greatest responsibility.

Hopeful? Fingers crossed.

Q.: At the COP26 Conference what was the single group with the most participants?

A.: The 500 fossil fuel lobbyists.

David Attenborough’s Challenge:

“Is this how our story is due to end?

A tale of the smartest species doomed

by that all too human characteristic

of failing to see the bigger picture

in pursuit of short term goals?”

Find a path.

Play a part.

Now.

Not later.

“LATER IS TOO LATE.”
